<Update label="October 8, 2026">
  **Quotas V2 (pre-release): B2B-only attributes on B2C projects**

  These changes apply to Quotas V2 (quota bodies with `version: "v2"`), which has not been released yet and is only enabled for organizations testing it. If your organization does not have Quotas V2, nothing changes for you.

  A quota on a project with `targetMarketType: "b2c"` can no longer use `industry`, `jobTitle`, `companySize`, `seniority` or `jobFunctions`. `militaryServiceStatus` and `workSetting` stay available on B2C projects.

  * `PUT /v1/projects/{projectId}/quotas`, and `quotas` on Create Project, return a `400` that lists each such condition, for example `groups[0].segments[0].rule.children[0]: companySize is only available on B2B projects; set the project's audience to B2B or remove this condition`.
  * Changing `targetMarketType` on a draft does not change its quota. A draft switched to `b2c` after such a quota was saved is refused at publish with a `400` starting `Quotas need updating before this project can be published:`, and stays a draft.

  Any quota request the quota rules reject now returns `error` as a list with one message per problem, the same body as a request with a missing or malformed field. Previously `error` was a single string that did not say what was wrong.

  ```json theme={null}
  {
    "statusCode": 400,
    "error": [
      "groups[0].segments[0].rule.children[0]: companySize is only available on B2B projects; set the project's audience to B2B or remove this condition"
    ]
  }
  ```

  See [Audience quotas](/docs/Projects/audience-quotas#conditions).
